Newsletter May 2025

We are well into May, and the weather is starting to cool a little.

You may have set some cool goals at the beginning of the year, and I am wondering how you are tracking right now? Or have you put some of your goals to the sidelines? If you are still tracking, congratulations, I am proud of you and keep on keeping on!

One of the world’s major health problems is in the foods that we are consuming daily. You would think with technology and our knowledge base that we should be a healthy global world, but the opposite is happening. We are experiencing a total health decline. Approximately 17.2 million people die of heart disease every year globally, accounting for 32.9% of non-communicable disease-related deaths globally.

In New Zealand, over 300,000 people have been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, and it is growing rapidly. We also have an epidemic in mental illness, cancer, arthritis, autism, and obesity.

Many factors are affecting these illnesses, such as stress, environmental factors (such as pollution), poverty, unhealthy living conditions, alcohol, tobacco, unemployment and lack of exercise.

I want to mention a health scientist Dr Benjamin Bikman who works with Unicity, and he was recently interviewed by Jordan Peterson. Please watch the interview at this link: The Wrong Health Factor: Glucose and Insulin Resistance | Dr. Benjamin Bikman

If you know someone suffering from heart disease, obesity, or Type 2 diabetes, pass on this newsletter.
